Q1 2024 Snapshot: Top Android Food & Diet Apps in Latin America

Latin America's health-conscious users have been actively engaging with food and diet tracking apps on the Android platform throughout the first quarter of 2024. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of the top applications in this category.

Fitia - Diet & Meal Planner observed a fluctuating download trend, starting with approximately 59K downloads in the first week and peaking at around 57K towards the beginning of March, before dipping to 42K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a similar pattern, starting at 165K and reaching a high of 164K in early March, then decreasing to 147K.

The YAZIO Food & Calorie Counter app experienced its highest number of downloads in the last week of March with over 60K, although the quarter commenced with a strong 56K downloads. Active users remained robust, starting at 595K and peaking at 611K in mid-March, before a slight drop to 588K.

Kompanion Intermittent Fasting had a remarkable start with 129K downloads in the first week but saw a significant decline to 11K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, with an initial count of 259K decreasing to 142K in the final week.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter downloads remained relatively stable, opening the quarter with 22K and closing with 11K. The app maintained a consistent user base, starting with 355K active users and finishing with 273K.

Lastly, BodyFast: Intermittent Fasting downloads began at 42K, declining to just under 10K by the quarter's end. Active users followed a downward trend, from 82K in the initial week to 37K in the last.
